Kabuli Channa are a useful supply of zinc, folate and protein. They are also very high in dietary fibre and hence a strong food, especially as a supply of carbohydrates for persons with insulin sensitivity or diabetes. They have a particular savoury and nutty flavour. These can be cooked with or without salt and used in different curries, chats, salads or as a side dish. Soak them overnight in water before use.
